  1. The sequel to “Pagan Christianity?” is out now. It’s called “Reimagining Church”. It picks up where “Pagan Christianity” left off and continues the conversation. (“Pagan Christianity” was never meant to be a stand alone book; it’s part one of the conversation.) “Reimagining Church” is endorsed by Leonard Sweet, Shane Claiborne, Alan Hirsch, and many others. You can read a sample chapter at http://www.ReimaginingChurch.org . It’s also available on Amazon.com. Frank is also blogging now at http://frankviola.wordpress.com/ .

  2. Thank you. As soon as I find the book in a form I can easily use, such as audio I will gladly read it. I am also following the blog now.

  3. I just read this book. I have seen so many churches fall apart due to millions spent on morgages. I have seen Pastors tear apart the heart of a church by the act of being (the man of God). Basicly they are the Pastor and you dont question them. I have even sat in services where it was put up for a vote but only after a sermon was giving on going against (the man of God) and how the people will suffer and be punished,in these same churches voting was more of a formal ritual. In others the building is treated better than the members. I have watched my childhood church fall apart over (pew vs chairs),or taking a donated Bible to Sunday school class so a visitor could use it. Im not saying that we should fire all pastors and sell all of our buildings. Our hearts our in the tradition. I believe that we need a revival of the heart. I have been to countries and seen starving children living in squaller. Yet all around me were pictures of Jesus. I kept saying if the church is here where are they? I found them in the building discussing a new better building and sound system for the worship team.
    Thanks

  4. I think you’ve gotten to the “heart” of the matter. 🙂 It is true of so many things. The only way we really fix the problems we have, whether in our churches or our nation, is to repent of our selfish concerns and dedicate ourselves to Yahweh.
